The Honest Art Studio Audit

A gentle but honest look at what’s actually happening in your art practice right now.

BEFORE YOU START

This isn’t about judgement. This isn’t about what you should be doing.

This is just about seeing things clearly.

Because you can’t grow what you’re not looking at.

Take your time. Be honest. No one else is reading this.

P.S all you will need is to grab a notebook or piece of paper and work through the audit questions below

PART 1: WHAT HAVE YOU ACTUALLY MADE?

Let’s start simple.

What artworks have you finished in the last 30 days?

(Write them all down. Even the small ones.)

How many is that?

Does that number feel good to you? Why or why not?

PART 2: WHERE IS YOUR WORK RIGHT NOW?

Be honest here.

Where are your artworks currently sitting?

  • In your studio

  • In a gallery

  • With a client

  • In storage

  • You’re not actually sure

Do you have a clear list of your available work?

  • Yes / No / Kind of

If someone asked what you have available right now, could you answer easily?

PART 3: YOUR CURRENT PROJECTS

Not the ideas. The actual things in progress.

What are you currently working on? (Exhibitions, commissions, collections, random works…)

How many projects is that?

Do they feel clear or scattered? Why? (you can answer this for each individual project if you have more than one on the go)

PART 4: YOUR TIME IN THE STUDIO

No judgement. Just awareness.

How many hours did you spend actually making art this week?

How many hours did you spend thinking about making art?

How many hours went to admin / life / everything else?

Does this feel aligned with the kind of artist you want to be?

PART 5: THE FUN QUESTION

This one matters more than you think.

When was the last time you made something just because you wanted to?

What did that feel like?

PART 6: WHAT’S FEELING HARD RIGHT NOW?

Be real with yourself.

What feels messy, unclear or overwhelming in your art practice?

Where do you feel like you’re dropping the ball?

PART 7: WHAT’S ACTUALLY WORKING?

We’re not skipping this.

What is working right now?

Where are you showing up consistently?

PART 8: THE HONEST REFLECTION

Take a breath before this one.

If nothing changed, where would your art practice be in 6 months?

What needs to change? (Keep it simple)

A LITTLE NOTE FROM ME

If some of this felt a little confronting, that’s okay.

This isn’t about doing things right or wrong. Every artist works differently, just like every artwork is different.

Often, it’s not about needing to do more.
It’s about being able to see what’s already there.

Your ideas, your works, your time in the studio.
All of it deserves to be seen clearly.

WHAT’S NEXT

I’m currently building something for artists who want:

  • a clear view of their work

  • a way to track what they’re actually doing

  • a place to hold their projects, artworks and studio time

If that sounds like something you need, you can join the waitlist below.

You’re closer than you think. You just need a little structure around what’s already there.

You’re allowed to take your art seriously without losing the magic.
