IN STUDIO CLASSES

  1. I’ve changed my mind. Can I get a refund? Please choose carefully as we do not refund/credit bookings if you change your mind. This helps us to keep our class prices affordable as it keeps our admin costs down. Making changes to individual bookings takes time away from teaching and painting. There simply aren’t enough hours in the day to process bookings for students who change their mind.

    Each term, we commit to showing up and delivering an art class for you every week, whether that be in-person or online. In turn, when you book in for a term of art classes, you commit to attending and participating for each of those weeks.

  2. What if I miss my class? For kids classes, there are 3 make-up classes throughout the term. make-up classes . For adult classes, if you can’t attend your class, class notes will be emailed to you with photos of the steps and detailed instructions, so you can create your artwork at home. For zoom classes, your class recording is available for 7 days from the class time. You will be emailed a password to access the class recording each week, once the class has been edited and uploaded. After 7 days the class recording will no longer be available.

  3. Covid restrictions & lockdowns: if classes cannot run in-person due to government restrictions or lockdowns, classes will be run online via zoom. The zoom class may be scheduled for a different day and time than your usual class time that week, to accommodate our teachers working from home. Recordings will be kept for 7 days for those that cannot make the new class time. It is your responsibility to make sure you provide us with correct contact information (email address and phone number), so that we can notify you of any last-minute changes to your class location.

  4. Covid policy: By attending our classes you agree to abide by local government mandates and regulations, even if that includes mask-wearing, hand sanitising, vaccination status, checking-in using the covid-safe QR code and physical distancing. You agree to not attend classes if you show any signs of sickness.

  5. Cancelled classes: Samantha Meurant Art reserves the right to cancel classes due to insufficient enrolments. If a class is cancelled, all student enrolled in that class will be refunded.

  6. Intellectual property: Respecting and crediting artists for their work is extremely important at Samantha Meurant Art. During class, we study examples of other artists work. These studies are for personal use only and cannot be sold or reproduced without the original artist’s written permission. Contact your teacher for more information regarding the original artist.

  7. You agree that in downloading any service or product from this website, you will not rent, lease or lend it to a third party nor decompile, reverse engineer, modify or derive content from the website and/or make it available over a network where it could be used by multiple devices at the same time.

  8. You agree that your use of the website will not violate any laws without limitation, including those governing competition, advertising, consumer protection laws, privacy, obscenity, spamming, stalking, intellectual property rights and/or defamation in Australia and when accessed in another jurisdiction the laws of that jurisdiction and Australian law, so far as the laws are not inconsistent, in which case you agree to be bound by the laws for QLD, Australia

  9. Privacy policy: The information we collect about you during the booking process is collected to confirm your booking and deliver your art class to you. We use the information for our internal business operations and to send you information relevant to the services that we offer. From time to time we may use this information to analyse the services that we offer to develop new and improved goods and services. We do not sell personal information to third partie
